Don’t you just hate when it happens; suddenly for no apparent reason the threshold is an inch higher than normal or a piece of furniture decides to jump in front of you as you walk by. As I got up this morning I stepped briskly (I’m a morning person) out of bed and headed for the light switch located by the door. Mid step my solid wood laundrybasket decided to inhabit the space my little toe was supposed to pass through. Quite naturally it didn’t, pass through that is. It stopped quite suddenly instead and any neighbour who wasn’t awake at six in the morning certainly were now. It was a kiai to be proud of.

My first thougt after ouch was; there goes that toenail. As I turned the light on I realized there was quite a lot of blood and hobbled to the bathroom. When my foot was taken care of I started sanitizing the apartment. Crawling around with a piece of paper soaking up bloodstains. This is an activity for the dojo - not my home. Luckily the bleeding stopped quickly and I found that the thing pointing at right angles to my toe wasn’t my nail but a flap of skin. All in all I got of easy with just under a square centimeter of skin going AWOL. Now there is just that dull throbbing left you usually get with an superficial injury. I will survive! :-)

Owie! Ramming your litte toe into something relly hard comes in second on my big “Stuff that hurts too much to be fun (except for the people watching)”-list, right after smashing your balls against the frame of your bicycle att great speed. ;)

Haven’t tried smashing my balls into the frame of a bike since i was a little kid and I don’t feel like trying it out again. :-)

Wuhuu! Toehitting! I do that in periods, perhaps the cosmis forces need to be aligned just right for the furniture to move, but sometimes I can be hitting my toes on things several times a day!

Yupp, did that last night again. This time it was a paper box that jumped infront of my other foot. No damage done, just a reminder from fate that I should never feel safe.

God, that must’ve hurt. I second Martins opinion of the ball-to-frame-thingie being a bit more hurtful though. ;)

I’d say that this amount of comments in less than two days just goes to show that you should post stuff more often. :P
